FIRST PROFESSION OF RELIGIOUS VOWS

SISTER MARY OF SORROWS, O.P.

SATURDAY OCTOBER 18, 2008

On the feast of St. Luke, the Evangelist, we joyfully celebrated the first profession of our youngest sister, Sr. Mary of Sorrows.  Sister's mother and large family came from Southern California and the Mid-West to join us on this happy occasion. 

The Mass was celebrated by Father John Francis Vu, S.J. The Offertory hymn was sung by Sister's nieces and nephews under the direction of Sister's older sister. The young choir was talented and quite energetic and brought smiles and admiration to many faces during the singing. 

 We were also blessed with the loving presence of our Dominican Fathers and Brothers whose constant support has never failed us.

 We thank all who came to share our joy and hope, and all who support us in many ways.

 Congratulations Sister!

Like St. Dominic, may our newly professed Sister be blessed with a joyful heart in serving the Lord!
